THE ISLAND

It is one of the seven Ionian Islands at the strategic location on the Southern tip of Peloponnese. Due to its location Kytherian history has been influenced by many civilizations and cultures. The island has an area of 284 Sq. Km, bearing distances of 45 Km North to South and 25 Km East to West.

THE CAPITAL OF KYTHERA

It is located at the South end of the island, overlooking Kapsali bay. It has become the Capital during the Venetian era. The Castle were built in 1503.

POTAMOS

It is the largest village on the island.   Once you reach the square of Potamos   it never gets quiet there. Every Sunday there is a flea market and you’ll be lucky to find a table to sit and drink coffee! Many shops, cafes, restaurants and offices make up this nodal point for the residents of northern regions.

AVLEMONAS

The picturesque sailors port with its traditional all white houses with their blue railing. Is the most beautiful & elegant village of our island, with small gourmet restaurants, coffee shops and a chill out bar by the dock.

DIAKOFTI

The major port of the island, though the most exotic sandy beach with its unique clear & warm waters – perfect for children. It has a few traditional tavernas and some cafeterias.

PALAIOPOLI

The area nearby Kaladi. In its archaeological site the ancient Greek – Minoan town of Skandia exists. Beautiful nature with the longest beach on the island – perfect for windsurfing and kite-surf!

KALADI   BEACH

The visit card of the island with pristine turquoise waters, this cove is the most wanted place to go swimming. It has two small sandy beaches with the impressive Rock that separates them on the tip. The dramatic view of the Rock challenges everyone to dare the 150 steps down the cliff!
